The name Sgroppino is from the Venetian Sgorpãre which means loosening or to loosen. This drink is said to have originated as a drink to consume in between courses to cleanse the palate, It is somewhat like a milkshake or a smoothie, but made with Frozun lemon drop sorbet, Prosecco wine, and vodka.
